Add to well beaten egg mixture a little at a time. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle top with nut- meg, and place in 475 degree oven for five minutes; then re- duce oven to 425 for 20 minutes or until almost set in centre. Heat to the boiling point stiring constantly. Remove from heat. Beat 5 whole eggs. Pour some of the hot mixture into the eggs. Then mix all to- gether and pour into unbaked pie shells. CHOCOLATE PEANUT PIE 14 cup peanut butter 2 tablespoons butter 1% cups graham cracker crumbs 1 pint chocolate ice cream sweetened whipped cream Melt peanut butter and butter | in a double boiler. Combine with | cracker crumbs, Spread evenly! over bottom and sides of 8-inch pie pan and press down firmly. Chill. Soften ice cream and care: fully spread in pie shell. Freeze. To serve, garnish with whipped cream. Yield -- 6-8 servings. Add butter and work well with hands. Knead until it will hold like butter ball with- out cracking. Press into 2 pie plates. Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees, lower oven temper- ature to 300 degrees and bake 30 minutes longer or until cakes are light brown. Slice into thin wedges and cool. Two cakes. Mrs. V. Howarth, Oshawa Jaycetties RHUBARB CREAM PIE 1'5 cups sugar 14 cup enriched flour 3; teaspoon nutmeg 3 slightly beaten eggs 4 cups 1-inch sliced rhubarb (1 pound) 1 recipe plain pastry 2 thsps.: butter or margarine Blend sugar, flour, and nut- meg. Add to eggs; beat smooth. Add rhubarb. Pour into 9-inch pastry - lined pieplate. Dot with butter. Top with lattice crust. Bake in hot oven (400) 50 to 60 minutes. Cool. Serves 6.
