' AIT THE OSHAWA TIMES, Thursday, June 1% 196 3 Plan To We Arrivals In City Jan Drygala was appointed chairman of the Community Citizenship Council Information Service at the first meeting of the service at Simcoe Hall, Wed- nesday. The Information Service is the first of the pilot projects to be 4 established by the recently formed Community Citizenship Council. Mr. Drygala was a member of the planning committee of the May 27 conference on group relations which backed the creation of the Community Citizenship Council. The service is seen as an aid to the new arrival in the city who finds himself in difficulty through lack of knowledge of the English language and Cana- dian customs or the person who has a difficulty and doesn't know to which of the numerous aid agencies he should go to for help. The Magis- trate suspended White's licence] for six months and impounded his car for three months. Police Constable Lawrence Watson, of the Pickering Police Department, said he saw the accused get out of his car on the passenger's side and go into a Pickering restaurant, early in the morning of March 28. Later he said he followed the accused along Highway 2 and south on Church street. He said White reached speeds up to 50 mph and went off the road several times. He said he used the siren to apprehend the ac- cused at the Church street and Highway 401 cloverleaf. inter- § lcome VOTE POSTPONED CHATHAM (CP) -- A prov. ince-wide vote on a marketing plan for grain corn, originally scheduled for mid - July, has been postponed, indefinitely di- rectors of the Kent Federation of Agriculture have been told.
