Sir Douglas, leader of the Aus- tralian trade mission to Canada, said the partnership of the two countries in existing agencies might well be expanded. "There is no reason," he stated, "why the Western world should not contribute perhaps one per cent of its national income to underdeveloped countries. This one per cent could include com tributions already being made to the various agencies of the United Nations and the Colombo plan.
