GUIDED MISSILES Accepting his watch, coach Bob Cherry said that the speech mak: ing was the worst part of the year. He thanked Whitby for its fans and dubbed his team the guided missiles. "They started out to win this championship and they did not stop until they did," he said. Manager Art Ashton, accepting his watch, said he was so happy "1 could cry". Club president A. M. RECOGNITION Charles Mesher, a director of the Chamber, intreduced the rep- VON Reports Home Visits Show Increase Whitby's VON nurse, Mrs. Isa- belle Vance, reports that during March there were a great num ber of home visits which turhed out to be most encouraging. Her report states: "The month of March has been most encouraging for the Branch and 4 busy one as far as home visits are concerned. A total of 169 visits were made, 121 of these were to give nursing care. There were 89 health instruction visits, seven not seen Visits and two behalf patient visits made. In- dustrial nursing hours amounted to 17.75. Compared to last year at this time there has been an in: trease of 67.7 per cent ih nursing care Visits, There is a slight in- erease in health instruction visits over last year. Compared to last month there has been a 64.4 per cent increase in nursing care visits with a decrease in health instruction visits, This decrease is explained by the fact that more time is being spent on nurs: ing care visits. "There were 10 admissions, half of them requiring nursing care visits. There was one night call. "Mts. Florence Litster acted as relief nurse for two weeks while the nurse-in-charge was on vacation."
