Fred Etcher notched the winner with Baban=- do scoring his second goal minutes later for the clincher. Both goaltenders played outstanding hockey and if Belleville continue in this manner, they'll be hard to keep out of the next play-off round. Bobby Attersley missed the game still bothered by a knee ailment which he incurred at Squaw Valley, but Gary Darling filled in capably between Etcher and Sam- olenko. Tonight the "Dunnies" are engaged in a big game against the Czech Olympic hockey team at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto starting at 8:30. The Kitchener Dutchmen downed the Czechs 4-0 at Squaw Valley and the "Dunnies" will be out to see how they fare with their own club against the hard skat- ing Europeans who beat Belleville on the final day of the tournament last year. oll 1 drug counters everywhere : %. uy Yon * STR FER BILLS PILING UP pay them off with a cash loan from CITIZENS FINANCE We like to say "Your loon is 0K" When bills pile up--and they clways do around this time of year--the easiest way to toke care of them may be to total them up, and pay them all off with a cash loon from Citizens, This way, you'll have just one easy monthly payment, Your friendly Citizens Finance Loon Manager con advise you on this and other money problems. There are those on the "Dunnies" that were at Squaw Valley who still think that the Olym- pic team was good enough to win under other cir- cumstances, but as if that weren't enough, now Man- ager Ernie Goman and his club have tried to renege on the signed written agreement between the clubs whereby the Dunlops gave four players, for the entire month of February to Kitchener, in return for cash and player Ralph Hosking for the balance of the sea- son. Goman agreed to this arrangement, signed an agreement in triplicate, and now proceeds to try and have it nullified. Player Hoskings informed Manager Wren Blair of the "Dunnies" that Goman told him (Hoskings) before he left Kitchener (and before Whitby players left for Squaw Valley) that although he was supposed to stay with Whitby for the rest of the year, that he (Goman) did not intend to live up to the bargain and would try and get him back upon Kitchener's return from the Olympics. In other words Goman signed an agreement, which by his own ad- mission he never intended to keep. Although in the meantime he happily took the four Whithy players away from their club for an entire month, players incidentally that compiled more points for the "Dutch- men" than any others they had. Nice guys at the head of this Kitchener outfit, and for the time being that's enough said. Let's settle the rest on the ice, starting tomorrow night! We're sure that most fans around here feel exactly as we do. The "Dunnies" couldn't possibly put enough goals into that Kitchen- er not to satisfy us, but let's be on hand in droves with that old "Go Dunnies Go" tomorrow night. This is one win the fans really want.
