10 THE OSHAWA TIMES, Tugiday, May 26, 1959 {Oshawa Beagle Is Canadian C More honors' were won on Sat- urday, May 23, by the Oshawa Beagle Club, when Middle-Stone y, Zorra, a 13-inch beagle owned by William Waddington Jr. won the highest award in Canada for Derby * competition. The trial. held at Cayuga, Oo tario, brought together all the winners of the spring derby trials "held by various clubs during the past two months and is called the "Derby Championship Stakes'. The trial had eighteen contend- ers, many coming from Buffalo and surrounding areas of north ern New York State, as well as from all parts of Ontario. Zorra is one of the best bred beagles in Canada. His mother is Canadian and American Field Champion Bell's Tonnette, a beautiful fe male imported from the USA by Middle-Stone kennels, owned by Dr. Wes. Langmaid. Zorra's gire is American Field Champion Autumn Cloudy Sky, owned by Pete Levo of Red Dot Beagles of New Vienna, Ohio. This outstanding young beagle was hanflled at the rtial by John Matthews and his owner is justly proud of such a fine perform ance.
