REESOR PORT PERRY -- Mrs. John Price was hostess to the Evening Auxiliary of Port Perry United church when 15 members attend- ed the October meeting. Mrs. Howard Challis, vice-presi- dent, chaired the meeting and read a poem. The secretary, Mrs. Robert Walker, read the minutes of the last meeting and Miss Gladys Joblin presented the treasurer's report, which reveal- ed that more funds were needed to reach the increased allocation for the year. A catering committee was chos- en to act when necessary, and | Mrs. Challis announced that a new Missionary Monthly secre- | tary was needed. Mrs. Saunders was chosen for the post. Members were urged to attend the autumn | rally of the Women's Missionary Society to be held in Greenwood, | A letter was read from Zaida| England, a missionary in India. Mrs. Wesley Lane consented to | take the place of Mrs. Fowler who with Mrs. Elmer Lee and Mrs. Bruce Beare will take charge of the November meeting to be held at the home of Mrs. Challis, Dis- | carded nylons will be accepted at this meeting. Mrs. Saunders, Mrs. Arthur Cox and Miss Alice Dodd were in charge of the devotions and the study book. A brief dis-| cussion was carried on while the group in charge served luncheon. After the meeting was closed, Miss Joblin expressed the thanks | of the members to the committee | in charge, with special thanks to! Mrs. Price for her hospitality.
