Magistrate Donald Graham said McKeefery was in a position of trust and although he had no criminal record, such a theft was not a case for probation. A Montreal youth, Claude Rogers, 18, gave back $426 of $500 he got from McKeefery after they met in Montreal. Another $9,400. is still missing. McKeefery took the money from a bedroom in Conacher's home May 16 and, after a brief stopover in Montreal, flew to England. He was arrested there by Scot- land Yard.
