They had several games that were in doubt until the final out--including the final game, when Sarnia had the bases loaded with only one out in the Sth and still lost the trophy and top prizes to stoney Creek Juniors, 6-4. His Stoney Creek team was last year's Juvenile "B" Ontario champlons and on what th showed here Saturday, they can start dusting off their shelf for the Junior "B" trophy. Two of last year's Ontario cham- pionship teams, Burlington (Junior "B') and Madoc (Junior "C") were eliminated here Saturday afternoon in the very first round. So were the Oshawa Scugog Cleaners, last year's Junior "A" semi-finalists. A red-hot pitcher from Weston (Abator Construction) caught the Oshawa team, hy the Juck of the draw, in the very first round and he came up with a terrific one-hit performance In a game that wont two extra fnnings, for a 1-0 win. A mammonth home-run blow in the last of the 9th won the game for Weston and broke up the best game of the day. Stoney Creek upset the Weston team in the semi-finals, another proof that the over-all calibre of the entire tournament was of top-notch quality. . . sued by Lawrence, only two cross- ed the plate for Oshawa, In both because of another walk after the bases were already load wd Bob Brewster was: on the mound for Flynn's. In the last inning, of the final game, a Sarnia player suffered broken lleg (not officially determined, at time of writing) when it appe jared as if he caught his spike in the "home plate" as he tried to score--and his momentum carried him on across, with the {leg being held firm. They used two ball bats and a roll of tape {to make a split for the injured leg and then carried him from the diamond to the nearest car, for transportation to Oshawa Hospital.
