His licence to drive was suspend- ed for one year. Neil Burroughs, of the 7th concession, appeared before Magistrate F. S. Ebbs in the Whitby police court to an- swer charges of careless driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident. Constable Ambrose Watson, of the Toronto Police Department told the court that he had been driving along Highway 12, near Myrtle on March 31 and met a car travelling north in the south- bound lane. When the car was about 150 yards away, he said, it swerved back into its own lane, then, as it drew opposite his car, he said, it swerved to the left and struck the rear of his car.
