Leighton Ford, under Whitby Min- isterial auspices, got away to a most encouraging start. It was necessary to bring in extra seats both for the congregation and the choir. Incidentally, the service marked the beginning of the an- nual Holy Week conducted for a number of years by the Minister- ial A iation. The was lar service, there will be a youth rally starting at 9.30, when those from 12 to 25 will receive a warm welcome. A programme of a spe- cial and appealing character will be featured, and the Rev. Leighton Ford will bring the message. For Good Friday night, the sponsors of the Crusade are conm- fident that the service will be one of outstanding spiritual blessi and a fitting close to the crusade. The sermon yesterday afternoon was a call for men and women everywhere to prepare for the last brought by the younthful evangel- ist; Rev. Wesley Aarum directed the large choir with Robin Nichol- son at the organ, and Homer James, tenor soloist, rendered sev- eral well-known gospel numbers. The offering was for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. INTEREST INCREASING For the week the interest in the crusade is expected to gather momentum and provision has been made for overflow crowd in the Baptist and Anglican churches ad- joining. Those who plan to attend, and these include many groups from local and outside places, can be assured of getting seats. Timely Holy Week messages with appropriate music will be featured from Monday evening to Friddy evening, when the crusade will close. / PLAN FAMILY NIGHT Wednesday will be family night, and it is expected that it will at- tract the largest crowd so far. Suitable recognition will be given to the largest family present at the meeting. YOUTH RALLY which the Rev. Mr. Ford pointed out must assuredly come and at any time.
