A rich publican of Jericho HAMPTON came down and told Zacchaeus was curious to see Jesus, so, being short of stature, he climbed a tree the better to see Him. Jesus called to him to come down as the Master would lodge with him that night. Jesus that he was giving half his goods to the poor, and if he had cheat- ed any man he would recompense him fourfold.
