Red Cross Awards Badges Of Merit Badges 'of merit were presented by President Hayden Macdonald at a meeting last week of the Osh- awa Branch of the Canadian Red Mrs. J. M. Bucy, Mrs. R. Perry and Mrs. E. J Weir for their faithful services to Red Cross. The welfare committee reported that several families were supplied medical and dental care was given in teedy cases. The Christmas meefing of the Harvey Hunt Auxiliary of Simcoe Street United Church was held on Thursday evening in the board room, Mrs. Angus MacLean, the presi- dent, opened the meeting with prayer and welcomed the visitors and - associate members. Various, reports were heard, the treasurer reported receipts of $916.46. Mrs. J. K. Moffat was present- ed with a life membership certifi- cate and pin as a birthday gift from Mr. Moffat. Mrs. Charles Dolley presided for the election of officers. Miss Muriel Oke took charge of the devotional period assisted by Mrs. O. R. Stokes who read the Christmas story from the scrip- tures.
