It is with a great deal of satisfaction we open and dedicate our new Fun- eral Chapel. The building facing on Dundas Street, is 41 x 80 with an attached garage, etc. 17 x 28. It is of steel construction with cut stone south and eost sides, the balance cement block. It is, in a word, a substantial, dignified structure. Most modern in every respect. Ground floor has three slumber rooms, two rest rooms for ladies and gen- tlemen, office, display room and chapel. The chapel is divided approximate- ly two thirds of the distance by accordian doors, to take care of any overflow of an extra slumber room. The chanel has gothic windows, oak church pews, modern lighting and acoustic ceiling. It can seat about 150, not including extra space for chairs. Most appropriate decorating ar d furnishings have been provided. The main entrance off Dundas Street is set back, with a canopy. Glass brick with a heavy oak door give the entrance a very handsome appeararice. The corridor is wide and spacious, with directing signs. The basement contains the preparation room, a small room for tea or coffee service, and a lounge room. A very large garage area houses the ambulance, hearse and two cars, brought to ground floor line by elevators. Balance of basement is for storage. : The chapel is modern in every respect inasmuch as all relatives can enter by main entrance and exit is from large doors on east side of the chapel. Sidewalks on the east side have been constructed the whole length of the buiid- ing and a U drive entrance to the east of property and exit to the west.
