Mr. Reginald Geen, LTCM, presided at the organ and accompanied the soloist, Mrs. Mer- vin Morrison, who sang "The Wed- ding Prayer" and "Because." Given in marriage by her father the bride wore a gown of gardenia white Chantilly lace over net and satin. The dress was fashioned with a redingote of the Jace and featur- ed long tight sleeves pointed over the hand and a lily point collar at the high neckline. The billow- ing skirt flowed into a full circular train. A juliet cap of lace over satin held her finger tip veil of tulle illusion and she carried a cascade of red roses, tied with white satin ribbon. Miss Mary Lowe of Whitby who was maid of honor for her sister wore sky blue. The other atten- dants were Miss Margaret Craw- forth of Whitby and Mrs. John Anderson of Oshawa, sister of the bridegroom, both wearing shrimp. Their gowns were styled on iden- tical lines of nylon net over taf- feta. Their shirred tulip top bodices was complemented with matching bolero jackets and mittens and their crinoline tiered skirts billow- ed to floor length. They wore mat- ching shirred bandeau headdresses caught with fresh yellow roses complementing their cascades of the - same fresh flowers which were tied with satin ribbon to complement their gowns. Pink and white carnations comprised her corsage. Later Mr. and Mrs. Shields left for a wedding trip to Algonquin Park and on their return will live in Bowmanville. Cedar Dale H&S Holds First Meeting Of Fall Season Cedar Dale Home and School Association held its first meeting of the new school term recently by observing music and arts night under the convenership of Mrs, F. A. J. Singer. Mrs. James Badour, president, presided. It was announced that the grade 1 tea would be held on Wednesday, O ober 7. The gradu- ation banquet would be held on Monday, October 19, when 52 pins would be presented to pupils who graduated into grade 8, first year high school. Health Night would be observed on the same date under the convenership of Mrs. C. J. Burgess and Dr. would be guest speaker. Mr. Arthur Winter, principal, in- troduced the teachers, both old and new, and invited the close co-op- eration between teachers and par- ents in all school activities.
