It should be SAYS: Ah me! TCA can fly one home far too quickly from New York! 0) ° Ginger Rogers is New York's million- dollar baby right now. Her Broad- way show, "Love and Let Love," just closed because there was nothing much to it except glamorous clothes. But Ginger needn't give a snap of her pretty be-diamond fingers for that! CBS had aweady signed her on five-year contract of dramatic shows for 1 million dollars! Nice work, if you can get it! Ginger is 80 healthy and full of life, she fairly skips when she walks, off-stage or on. She's going to Hollywood, she told me, before her CBS debut, to make another picture -- the theme, marriage, and Fred Allen playing her husband. LJ Newscasts -- everybody's favourite . . . CFRB, on the air about 19 hours a day, brings you 21 intervals of world and local NEWS daily. LJ LJ LJ Among most successful Canadiens in New York are former CFRB'ers Grace and Court Benson, a charming, popu- lar couple. Grace stars daily (CBS Radio) in these -- Big Sister, 12:45 p.m., and Our Gal Sunday, 2:30 p.m., both. CFRB. Court is - busy playing characters of all ages in radio and TV. Their two children are Andrea and Paul, the latter named after their friend Paul McGrath, handsome New York and Hollywood actor who was recently Ginger Rogers' leading man on Broadway. In the Benson's stunning apartment, their Hollywood-ish dining room has emerald-green walls and rug, chairs and table are silver-leaf and drapes of ruby-red velvet. Attending Arthur Godfrey's broadcast in New York is like visiting the CNE! Besides receiving paper shopping-bag filled with sponsors' products, more food's served during the show. He's terrific!
