REVENUE TOTALS $13,146 Heavy, but not recurring, ex- penditure was reported. by S.- T. Hopkins, the Associations treas- urer. Revenue for the past year, ending September 30, was $13,146 while expenditure was $14,387. That left a deficit of $1,341. That was due to two main factors, ex- plained Mr. Hopkins. The first was the cost of necessary main- tenance on Headquarters building and the other was maintenance ex- penditure at Camp Samac. H.Q. work had accumulated over some years and should not recur while the expenditure on Canfp Samac was necessary to keep the property in good condition. For that reason in preparing for the coming year's budget, a request was made to the Oshawa Com- munity Chest giving requirements Pe Lg granted but did authorize a budget of $14,000 which was an increase of $2,200. - "While the over-expenditure this year was justified by the work ae- complished and by the surplus from the past two years, it is recommended that every effort be made to keep within the budget set for 1951-52 as, if we are not able to live within this budget, other sources of funds will need to be sought," warned Mr. Hopkins. Camp Samac cost $7,811 to oper- ate while camp reyenue was $l. 582. A quota was paid to the Provincial Council of $570 and donations and grants for last year were $11,912, | bed Sialr.
