Mount Zion Church Marks Anniversary MRS. LORNE JONES Correspondent Balsam and Mount Zion--The Mount Zion anniversary on Sun- day was well attended. The morning service was taken by Rev. George Empey of Hampton with the home choir singing an anthem and Miss Adele James of Toronto as soloist who sang "Stranger of Galilea," and '"My Task." The evening service was taken also by COME-IN Rev. G. Empey. All enjoyed the two inspiring and helpful services very | much. Wideman"s Church male quartet, near Markham, rendered beautiful music. The Mount Zion friends wish to thank Rev. G. Empey, Miss A. James, the male quartet, home choir, Miss Marion Disney, pian- ist, and all those who helped to make it a memorable day. Roll call was answer- ed by a Thanksgiving poem or on the Princess. Minutes were read and approved. Business was then discussed. Plans were made for their coming bazaar on Nov, 14. Cards of appreciation were read. demonstration on the making of paper flowers, which was very interesting. A number of articles were sold that was brought in by some c¢ the members. Closing hymn, "For the Beauty of the Earth," was sung. All enjoyed a lovely supper, after which Mrs. Jamieson thanked Mrs. M. Pegg for coming. A large number were present. Mr. Hans Geissberger, of Taun- ton, visited and had tea at the Burnett Jamieson home on Sunday and attended the anniversary service in the evening.
