If anything, the impres- sion gained around army head- quarters is of an increased tempo. Construction of a huge training area to accommodate an. entire brigade or even a larger formation is known to have gone beyond the planning stage. It is understood once the site has been decided upon an early start will be made to erect the necessary buildings and to prepare the terrain for ex- tensive tactics of troops in brigade formation. Presently sites are un- der consideration on both and east and west coasts. One area be- lieved under consideration is in Digby County, Nova Scotia. It was formerly given to the Canadian Pacific Railway for colonization. The old camping area at Aldershot, N.S., is understood to have been ruled out as inadequate for the new project.
