JONES Correspondent Mount Zion -- Friday evening, July 20, about 35 old friends, school- maies and relative met for a sur- prise party in honor of Mr. Wm. Shot Br 75th birthday at his home. Those present included his only sister, Mrs. Floyd Reesor, and husband, of Oshawa; Mrs. Ralph White and husband, of Hamilton, a sister-in-law, Mrs: Annie Har- bron of Kinsale; a brother-in-law, Mr. Roland Ball, and daughter, Dora, of Taunton. The late Fred Harbron was repre- sented by Miss Mabel Harbron of Richmond Hill and the late Jane Harbron Parkin by Mr. and Mrs. Victor Parkin of Brooklin. His immediate children and grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Stan- ley Neale, Glenna and Bruce of Toronto, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Harbron, Bernice and Ina Jean, of Myrtle; Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Har- bron and Lloyd. Following & sumptuous dinner the host opened numerous presents after which games were played and the adults enjoyed an hour of reminiscences. Active Service Class Meeting MRS. LORNE JORNE JONES Correspondent Mount Zion--The Active Service Class met at the home of Mrs. William Harbron on Wednesday for their July meeting. Mrs. George Wilson took the chair in the ab- sence of the president and vice- president. The meeting was opened with a hymn, followed by prayer by Mrs. George Wilson. Scripture reading was given by Mrs. Lloyd Wilson, the 18th chapter of Matthew, 1-14 verses. Minuets were read and adopted. Mrs. William Harbron favored us with a piano instrumental, and Misses Evelyn Disney and Marean Jamieson sang a beautiful duet, The topic was taken by Mrs. Cecil Jones on "Influence on Lives" which was very impressive.
