The uncle may prefer not to stand in the receiving- line , . . this is a matter of choice. If he does stand in line, it would be next to the bride's mother. There would be no reason, I should say, for the bride's aunt to stand in the receiving-line, but if the bride and her mother wish to include her, she may stand next to her husband. 4, For this July afternoon in- formal wedding, the bridegroom, best man, and ushers may correctly wear: (1) all-white suits (extremely popular nowadays for this type of wedding); or (2) dark jackets (pre- ferably dark-blue or dark-grey, all of the same general color) and white flannel trousers; or (3) for a very informal wedding, light- weight, light-color summer business suits. Scythia. While MrsgReynolds was visiting in Suffolk a parcel from The Pythian Sisters of Oshawa came to her cousin, Mrs. Alfred Charman lin, Pickering, Ajax, Locust Hill. in Southfields, London. The surprise and pleasure of Mrs. Charman and her mother, aged 83, was almost indescribable. A letter was immediately placed in the "pillar box" informing Mrs. Reynolds of the arrival of "a beauti- ful parcel from Canada" from people unknown. Upon Mrs. Reynolds' arrival again in South- fields she explained that the par- cel was one of many sent by Mrs. Kirkbride of the Lodge, and that Mrs, Charman's name had been submitted by her sister-in-law, Mrs. J. F. Goyne, Hillcroft Street, Osh- awa, a very long time ago. Letters of thanks were despatched to the two ladies immediately.
