Frost who addressed a meeting of the Ratepayers' Association in the council chambers last night. In recent months, so many municipalities in the same situation as Whitby, as regards high county roads levies, have applied for separation from their counties, that the Department of Municipal Affairs be- came alarmed and relieved the situation somewhat by recen legislation which allows road rebates. ; & © "ling received by > | Mal Are Filed for Brooklin Fair Entries in many classes are be- progressive village to Visitors to the fair the finest spring show of Many Entries|mm: Speaker Here STEPHEN SAYWELL of Oshawa will be the speaker to- Whitby Club Calendar -- re SUNDAY United Church, Sunday School Anniversary, 11 am.
