THE DAFLY TIMES-GAZETTE ~~ OF INTEREST TO WOMEN -~ 'William Robinson, Irene Mitchell United in Double Ring Ceremony St. John's Anglican Church, Bowmanville, was the setting for a wedding on Saturday afternoon when Irene Kathleen Mitchell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Mitchell, of Bowmanville, was united in marriage with William Everett Robinson, of Oshawa, son of Mr. W. G.' E. Robinson and the late Mrs. Robinson of North Bay, Ontario. White snapdragons on the altar and in the chancel formed the background for the "double ring ceremony, performed by the Rev- erend Warren Turner, the pews be- ing designated with white moire bows. . Mrs, Jack Gunn presided at the organ and accompanied Mr. Keith Wood who sang "The Lord's Prayer" preceding the cere- mony and "Because" during the 'signing of the register. "Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a traditional gown of heavy white slipper satin and Swiss embroidery. The fitted basque. featured long slim sleeves and appliques of Swiss embroidery on the square neckline and at the hip. The full gathered skirt fell in graceful folds to a cathedral train. Her empoidered net veil which flowed beyond the train of her gown, was caught with a tiara of irridescent beacs and seed pearls. She wore a single strand of pearls and carried a cascade of red roses and stephanotis. Mrs. Alexander Anohichuk was matron of honor for her sister, wearing pink net over taffeta, fashioned with a moulded bodice set off with a wide sash of blue satin, and a bouffant skirt featur- ing tier upon. tier of net with which she wore a matching net jacket, long mittens and a halo headdress. Her flowers were a cascade of blue carnations with pink ribbon ties. The other attendants were Mrs, Walker Henderson and Miss Ellen Ward, wearing identical gowns of flower blue net over taffeta. They wore matching shoulder capes ac- cented with appliqued taffeta tuck- ing, net mittens and Dutch caps and they carried pink carnations cascades tied with blue ribbon. Miss Yvonne Irene Anonichuk, small niece of the bride, wearing blue and carrying a cascade of pink carnations with blue ribbon ties, and Miss Barbara Mary Hender- son: in pink with a cascade of blue carnations with pink ribbon ties, were flower girls. They wore high- waisted gowns with frilled skirts of frosted white organdy over taffeta and long matching mittens. Their bonnets 'matched their gowns and they each wore a gold locket on a fine gold chain. Mr. Robert Robinson of Temis- kaming, Quebec, was best man for his brother. The ushers were Mr. George Bebee of Bowmanville and Mr. William Eyre of Oshawa. The reception was held in St. John's parish hall, which was decorated with baskets of snap- dragons. To receive the guests the bride's mother wore a gown of powder blue crepe with Chantilly lace, black straw hat with pink flower trimming, black accessories and 'a corsage of tea roses and stephanotis. The bridegroom's mother, who assisted, was wearing navy blue crepe with appliques of satin, a small close fitting white straw hat with navy blue velvet flower accents and veiling. Deep pink roses composed her corsage. The three-tier wedding cake with supporting crystal pillars in a set- For Bridal Showers Showering a bride? Getting a trousseau ready?
