Hampton Couple Observe 10th Anniversary M. HORN Correspendent Hampton, April 2--A very happy event took place on Thursday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Clarke, it being there tenth anni- versary of 'their wedding, when about forty-five guests consisting of relatives, neighbors and friends ar- rived at their home to spend the evening with them. It was a com- plete surprise to them and on ar- rival Mrs. Clarence Tink presented Mrs. Clarke with a beautiful cor- sage which was pleasantly received with thanks. Rather than miss at- tending the gathering some had a pleasant walk through muddy roads to arrive. The evening was spent in games of different kinds and the children as well as the adults had lots of fun | together. Mr. and Mrs. Clarke were presented with two beautiful satin cushions and a nicely worded ad- dress was read by Mrs. Joseph Crawford. Both the bride and groom suitably responded and thanked all present. A social time brought the evening to a close when a sum- ptuous lunch was served including a | beautifully decorated wedding cake. { "Happy Anniversary" guests from | Bowmanville and Oshawa were also present. We all wish continued hap- piness and health to them in the years to come. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Lockwood en- tertained a number of friends on Saturday evening. . Miss Nancy Johns has returned to Toronto after spending Easter vacation at her home here. Mr. Keith Billett is still confin- ed to his home here suffering a bad attack of mumps. The continued heavy rains of late have caused the surrounding roads to be almost impassable. SHARE PROFITS 50-50 Baghad, Iraq, April 4--(AP)--A government communique said last night the Iraq Petroleum Com- pany has agreed to increase the government's share from oil re- venues to levels similar to those accepted by neighboring Arab countries. In Saudi Arabia this amounts to a 50-50 share of pro- fits. The communique added that negotiations to. implement the agreement will be opened this week. RADIU Variety Evening At Prince Albert F. E. SMITH Correspondent Prince Albert, March 30 -- The very bad roads in this district were | the cause of many people failing to attend the variety evening held at the church on Thursday evening.
