Children of Metis, Miners, Trap- pers anf Government men get the same Standard of education as children in southern parts of the province, The Department of Education has built 13 new schools in the last five years. Beauval, Buffalo Narrows, Candle Lake, Cumberland House, Denare Beach, Lac La Loche, Lac La Ronge, Montreal Lake North End, Pemican Portage, Green Lake, Sandy Bay, Snake Bay and Stony Rapids boast new schools. Cream shortening until fluffy. Gradually add sugar, mixing until creamy. Add beaten egg. Beat well, Add dry ingredients alternately with water or. milk, folding in lightly after each addition. Pour over apples. Sprinkle with combined sugar and cinnamon (one table- spoon sugar and one teaspoon cinnamon), Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 to 50 minutes.
