E. SMITH Correspondent Prince Albert, Jan. 16. -- The Ladies' Auxiliary of Cubs held their first meeting of 1951 on Monday, January 15 at the home of Mrs. Jim Doupe. There were nine members pres- ent to elect the following new officers: President, Mrs. H. Hodgins; vice- president, Mrs. M. Bassont; secre- tary, Mrs. F. Fletcher; treasurer, Mrs. L. Bond. School during last year proved to be the outstand- ing student in-her class of fourteen | as she led her classmates in acad- emic work, Then she won the school public school speaging contest, the Cartwright Township Oratorical contest, placed second in oratorical competition for the County of Dur- ham and fourth in a similar com- petition for the Havelock District.
