Ci WHITE Correspondent Thornton's Corners, July 10 -- There was a record attendance at the Sunday School picnic held at Lynbrook Park last Friday, num- Jere close to one hundred and fty parents, teachers and chil- dren. The activities started early in the afternoon when many en- joyed the facilities of the spacious park, playing ball, swinging and swimming. The swimming races were held before supper and the winners were: Girls -- 1. Beverly King; 2. Shir- ley Allen. Boys under 15 yrs. --1. Ed. Camp- bell; 2. Jim Connelley. over 15 -- 1, Ken. Pipher; Lloyd Scott. At 6.30 p.m. all sat down to a bountious supper. While stiil around the tables, the teachers of the junior grades presented prizes to the pupils with highest standing during the year.
