From information received it ap- pears that the gas tank of his car was leaking a little around the plug at the bottom and accordingly he took it to Jack Ward's machine shop to be repaired. In a matter of seconds the car was on fire and only the quick ac- tion of the owner saved the ma- chine shop from catching on fire. Although the fire reels made a quick run to the scene the car was a total wreck in a matter of min- utes, Jack Ward suffered severe burns to both hands.
