Customers were lined three deep in front of the counter, and only those who arrived early, and held their ground, were fortunate enough to have their choice. The tea table was very attractive and was laid with a white linen cloth, centred with an artistic wreath of fluffy snow, scattered with tiny red berries. In the centre of the wreath was a single large white candle. On either side of this cen- trepiece were brightly burning red candles in crystal candleholders. Mrs. George Scott and Mrs. Gor- don Bunker poured tea, and serv- ing the guests were Mrs. Nichols, the tea room convener, Mrs, McGill, Mrs. Chris. Willoughby, Mrs. Don Harris, Mrs. Harold. Winter and others.
