Mrs. Fred Beadle of North Osh- ©, awa spent Thursday of last week with her mother, Mrs, W. J. Caok. Mrs. Clarence Harrison left on Saturday night for Detroit where she will visit relatives this week. On Sunday she was a guest at the celebration of the golden wedding anniversary of an aunt and uncle. The Dave Duchémins met with other members of Mrs. Duchemin's family at a gathering at the home of her sister near Leaskdale, on Sunday afternoon. The sale on Saturday afternoon of furniture and other articles, of Mr. Quinn, was largely attended. Bidding was brisk and good prices were realized. Mrs. Russell Taylor is much im- proved after her recent illness. Mr. and Mrs. Mel Tudhope and children Betty and Jimmie and Mrs. William McArthur, of Hawke- stone, were dinner guests on Sun- day of Albert and Mrs. Eyers. Mrs. A. Johnson, Mrs, F. Wilson and Mr. C. Wood, of Oshawa, were Thursday evening - visitors with Myrtle relatives. . Mrs. L. Hill of Orillia is visiting this week with her sister, Mrs. R. Long. The Elwood Masters were in Oshawa on Sunday afternoon, tea guests of Mr. and Mrs. W, M. Og- den. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Edgar, of To- ronto, were week-end guests of Myrtle relatives. Miss Lila Cryderman and Miss Jean Duff of Toronto, spent the wéek-end at their homes hére. Mr. Hamilton is making good progress in his return to health, af- ter a serious illness. : The Faithful Group will hold the November meeting in the home of Mrs, Roy, Percy on Friday éven- ing, November 5.
