Ross of Toronto had to pay a $400 fine for accepting a bonus' in letting an apaftment, the War- . time Prices and Trade Board which prosecuted him showed a net loss of $200 on the case. e WPTB gave Mrs. Helen Baird $400 to make the transaction with Ross. When she paid him she sig- nalled R.C.M.P. officers who rushed in to make the arrest. Ome officer testified Ross tossed a piece of "heavy paper" into the fireplace.
