The general surplus as on Jan. 1, 1947, was $8,003.74 plus a school surplus of $1,221.79 against which there was a road and bridge deficit pf $13,104.10, leaving a net deficit pf $3,842.57. 'The total county rates were $338,- 034.36 and expenditures amounted to $386,821.15, the auditors' report commending the committees and Treasurer William Barr for the ac- curate control of the counties fi- nances. The breakdown of the general rate for towns amounted to $83,962.00; villages, $20,744.00; and townships, $240,141.00, in the general rate, High and Continuation schools amounted to $614.15 for villages and $35,386.12 for towns, and the voca- tional and technical schools 'was $14.82 for towns and $1,014.94 for townships. ; Budgetted revenue was $388,034.- 36 and actual was $389,173.99.
