Dr. Agnew, executive secretary of the Canadian Hospital Council, pre- dicted today. In addressing the closing ses- sions of the Ontario Hospital In- stitute's annual convention, Dr. Agnew told administrator-delegat- es of other "probable" changes:-- 1. More attention to the now- almost-forgotten patients includ- ing alcoholics, drug addicts, the Zadly psychotic and the chronically ill. 2. Pooled or integrated services, with certain hospitals specializing in diagnosis and treatments of cer- tain types of illness. 3. Follow-up care of patients after they had left hospital. 4. Closer relationship with doc- tors, with many hospitals installing offices for doctors. 6. Possible establishment of low cost "diagnostic : clinics." 6. Revision of nurse-training methods. Dr. Agnew said that centralized schools of nursing might be one answer to the present "apprentice- ship system" under which there is a serious shortage of nurses, TUNE IN BRESLIN'S of Bowmanville TOMORROW, 4.30 P.M.
