Willlam &. Manning, Secretary-Treasurer, of the Brooke lin Spring Fair Association, spons- ors of the event, said Saturday that he had not seen such a turnout fori many years. From early morning, when a huge Calathumpian Parade led' by mem- bers of the Georgetown Girls' Pipe Band started the fair, until late at night at the conclusion of the fair dance held. in the Township Hall, vast throngs of exhibitors, breeders, and spectators travelled back and forth in front of the booths and show rings. - In addition to the exhibits of fine heavy and light horses and pure bred cattle there were displays of farm machinery, children's athletic events, softball games, singing and music. Throughout the afternoon a truly . "country fair" atmosphere evailed with the shouts of candy awkers, refreshment booth pro= prietors, the neighing of horses and the lowing of cattle descending upon the ears of the jovial holiday 'crowd.
