As she sat there, the odd fanc entered Thelma's mind that Bo knew she was phoning him and had deliberately lifted the raceiver from his instrument and left it off, It would be like Bob. Easy-going, good-natured, yet at the same time determined and, on occasion, im- movable. But she wanted more in a man than that. a man who was something more than a cheerful, patient, hard-working good vider. She longed to be noticed, petted, fussed over. At least, there were no children to complicate matters--and there would bg, Clarke, When with him he made love so thrillingly that nothing else seemed to matter. But would that always suffice.
