The South Ontario Fair is first and foremost an Agricultural Fair, as may be seen by the splendid exhibits of livestock and other products of our County. This year will be no exception as a very large entry is already as- sured. No Fair is successful without entertainment and this year we have endeavoured to provide a program intended to please everyone. Trials of Speed, Grand Stand Per- formance, Firewcrks Displays, Fichibition of the best Hunters and Jumpers in Canada and a large Midway are some of the many features comorising this program. The Oshawa Fair Grounds are undoubtedly among the most beautiful to be found in the Province and this year new beauty has been added through the decorating of several of the buildings. It is an idealplace in which to spend a holiday and as Oshawa Fair Days are looked upon as Annual Holidays by the Citizens of Oshawa and - surrounding country, we look forward with pleasure to- ward meeting on the 13th and 14th of September with the entire Citizenship of Ontario and surrounding The South Ontario Agricultur-|| Counties. The motor show at the Oshawa Fair helps people to realize that the automobile industry is a de- cided!v good thing for the coun- try. The cars on display are: them- selves clear evidence that (he manufacturers are aggressive and forward-looking, with faith in Canada and Confidencce in the business future. And out of the glittering new models arises a mental picture of activity all across the Dominion, embracing a vast network of highways, sales and service organizations in a thousand communities, the means of livelihood for workers in a score of different industries, and a social freedom undreamed of before the age of motoriza- tion. Means Much to Canada The automobile is responsible for more benefit to the country than {it usually gets credit fo Economically, Canada owes 2 great deal to the motorization of transportation that has taken place in the past quarter century.
