The Fair has kept pace with the growth of South Ontario and this year's event will show a great im- provement over all the previous exhibitions. ~The event for many years has been looked to annually with a great deal of interest by thousands of patrons throughout the city and country and by their patronage, they show their appreciation of the efforts of the officials and directors who spend much of their time, energy and money to make this fair one of the best in Ontario, outside the larger cities. The directors and management this year have reason to feel proud of the fact that they have prepared a program of exhibits and attractions which require two whole days. The variety of attractions this year surpasses all previous attempts, and the prize list has been compiled in such a manner that a record entry is to be found in every depart- ment. Society fair in the Province. However, this cannot be said of the 1932 Fair to be held in Oshawa on September 12, 13 and 14, if present indications are any criterion of what is ta be expected. The exhibits will not be the whole centre of interest, however, since one of the most elaborate grandstand per- formances has been arranged, including vaudeville acts, trotting races, music, judging and a score or more of other unusual novelties. The night performances on Tuesday and Wednesday nights will be well above the standard; each closing with the most modern and unusual brilliant fireworks display. Thote who have followed the progress of the South On- tario Agricultural Society know of the effort put forth by, its directors from year to year to make it one of the finest exhibitions in the Province outside the larger centres and it behooves everyone interested in the life of the commun- ity to do their part in contributing to the success of this worthwhile undertaking.
