The total for the three provinces was 83,410.- 000 pounds valued at $1,964,351. as compared with 82,712,200 pounds valued at $1,802,756 a year ago. Unrevised figures for May, 1932, were issued today by the Eastern Division of the De partment of Fisheries. "The outstanding feature of the month was the increase in the lobster catch which made up a large part of the total, : Lobsters were taken to the extent of 26, 679,700 pounds valued at »1,062- 600. Last year the figures for May were 19,858,700" pounas va- jued at $1,244,180. Total quantity of all fish land- | ed in Nova Scotia was 29,664, 100 pounds valued at $1,015,353 as compared with 38,005,200 pounds valued at $1,229,000 the previous year. New Brunswick had a total catch of 31,747,300 pounas val- ued at $526,918, as compared with 24,343,700 pounds valued at $260,476 last ygar. Prince Edward Island landings totalled 21,989,600 pounds valu- ed at $422,083 as compared with 20,363,300 pounds valued at $313,209 the previous year, Nova Scotia led in lobster pr- duction with 11,732,800 pound: valued at $798,845.
