Passed away peacefully at the

Rivera Thorntonview LTC

home on Friday, October 1,

2021, at the age of 90. Mila

(nee Bandur) will be remembered

as the devoted wife of

Ante (Tony) Zovak and mother

to her son John. She will be

dearly missed by her daughter

-in-law Kelly (nee Brownell)

and her grandchildren, Nicole,

Michael, and Andrew. Mila

emigrated to Canada in late

1959 from her birthplace in

the former Yugoslavia. She

was born November 3, 1930,

in the village of Proboj-

Ljubuski, Bosnia and Herce-

govina, in the former

Yugoslavia. Mila was a retired

autoworker with Chrysler

Corporation at the former Ajax

Trim Plant. She was an active

member of St. Mary of the

People Parish in Oshawa and

the Croatian Cultural Centre in

Norval, Ont. Visitation was

held at the Oshawa Funeral

Home at 847 King Street West

in Oshawa on Wednesday,

October 6th from 4:00 to 8:00

p.m. Funeral services followed

on Thursday, October 7th at

10:30 a.m. at St. Mary of the

People Catholic Church, 570

Marion Avenue in Oshawa.

Mila will be buried next to her

dearly departed Ante at the

Resurrection Catholic Cemetery

in Whitby, Ontario.
