DAY AFTERNOON The first annuai championship shoot of the Oshawa Gun Club was held yesterday afternoon at the new grounds, Simcoe Street South, About fifteen shooters took part, including members of the Orono 'Gun Club and others, The honors of the day fell to toss Flintoff, who, by winning the championship, also won the handsome silver vase, which was do- nated by Jos. E, Jennings, of To- ronto, Canadian champion, Mr. Flintofi's score was 45 broken birds out of fifty. In the first string of 26 he broke 21 but in the second, 24 out of the 26 were labelled dead, Frank Rowden claimed the second prize, a rooster, with 41 broken birds out of 50. In the first string he sceured 22 but oply hit 19-in the second run. Donald MeKay won the third prize, a box of cigars, with a score of 40, Nelson Long, of Ham- iiton, also took part in the shoot but he did not figure in the prizes. His score was exceptionally good, break- ing 49 out of the 50. All shooters were given a handi- der different handicaps, The sweep stake event was run off on equal terms, Dave Stewart winning first prize with 22 out of 256, D, McKay came second with 20 and PF, Row- den third with 19, The scores and handicaps are as follows: Hdvp.
