- PAGE TWELVE HUSBAND BEATS RIVAL TO DRAW | Man Slain in Street in N.Y. Italian Quarter New York, Nov. 23.--A husband beat his rival to the draw when they met in the street Sunday and killed him. The main street of the Upper East Side's "Little Italy" was crowded when Joseph Barbara, the husband met Salvatore Anacarata, the man whom he ordered from his home two years ago because of Anacarata's attention to Mrs. Barbara. This jealousy had led to threats and as a result a mutual fear grew up between them, police said. Barbara told police he saw Anacar- ata approaching him in a manner that made it appear he might make good his threats. When Anacarata kept walking slowly toward him, Barbarz told police he became terrified, then furious, drew his revolver and fired five times. Four of the bullets hit Anacarata. A pistol was found in Anacarata's possession. REPORT PARADIS NAMED TO.
