WARRANTS FOR 1,500 Detroit, Nov. 16.--A sweeping drive against traffic law violators, both men and women, began this af- ternoon, with 50 motoreycle police- men assigned to serve 1,500 war- rants. All 1,500 will be arrested and jailed as quickly as the warrants can be served. The drive was de- geribed by George J. Schlamps, chief of the traffic squad of the police de- partment, as '"a clean-up of offen- ders who deliberately ignore 'park- ing tickets.' Weddings \ KENNEDY--MILLER A very attractive wedding cere- mony and one cof widespread inter est, was solemnized at the residence of the bride's mother, 338 McLeod street, Ottawa, on Saturday evemng, November 5th, at 8.30 o'clock, when Doris Grace, daughter of the late Mr. J. E. Miller and Nirs. Tsonel Miller, was united iu ,uarr:age wan Mr. James William Kennedy D. Se. of Galt, son of the late Mr. J. S. Kennedy and Mrs. Kennedy, of Hamilton, Ontario. In the bay window of the drawing room, near which the bridal party stood, was a banking of palms and ferns, with pink chry- santhemums interspersed. Clusters of pink chrysanthemums had also teen used in the drawing room, while bronze chrysanthemums ad- orned the other rooms. Rev. 8. Millikin, minister of the Stewarton United church, officiated with Rev, Frank A. Smye, of Montreal, assist- ing.
