When John Griggs, Harmony, was pulling out from the curb at Simcoe and Bond streets yesterday, his car was hit by another one and slightly damaged. The other car apparently suffered no damage. Afternoon Tea. Mrs. W. Cockwell, convener of group 4, Albert Street Ladies' Aid Society gave an afternoon tea Thurs- day at the home of Mrs, Smith, 36 Elm street, which was prettily dec- orated. The pro- ceeds were in aid of a bazaar, Fender Damaged The left fender of an automobile was damaged late last night in an accident that occurred on Alice street. E. Edmondson, 251 Simcoe street south, was driving west on this street when he ran into a car which was parked on the street, it is alleged, without lights. The other car was not damagad. Phone 378 Walter Bev a local man, ap- peared in court this morning in con- tinuation of his hearing on a charge of non-support which was adjourned from a few days ago. He pleaded not guilty to the charge, and after some evidence had been heard the case was dismissed. Stapley agreed, however, to contribute $10 a week to the support of his family. Ee Cars Slightly Willie Lee, former proprietor of the Biltmore Cafe, figured in an au- tomobile accident about ten o'clock this morning on King Street. Lee, #ho was driving a Buick sedan, and nother man who was driving a Ford 'oadster, collided while both ears were going west.
