BIRTHDAY PARTY A most pleasant afternoon and ev- ening was spent at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. Foote, 121 Clarke street, yesterday, the occasion being the --Mr. and Mrs. Robert Flemming, of Toronto, entertained Lady Flem- ming, of Aberdeen, Scotland, and Miss Wood, of New York, at a tea at the Gables one afternoon last week. --Mr. Laurencé Kelly, of the Royal Trust Co, of Montreal, was a dinner gu st at the Gables on Wednesday ev- ening. --Another delightful tea was given in honour of Julien Arnold, son of the late Sir Hdwin Arnold, who was a Listen! The arrangemént and decoration of the hall were in charge of the dance com- mittee. During the evening music was rendered by Reynolds and Watson's combined orchestra and dancing was enjoyed from nine until one, lunch be- ing served at eleven o'clock.
