IN HIGHWAY RASH) Motorcycle Sidesweeps Truck on Highway Near Barrie-- One Badly Hurt Barrie, Sept. 11.--Two Toronto young men are dead afid a third lies in the Royal Victoria Hospital, Bar- rie, in a precarious condition as a result of injuries received Saturday evening when their motorcycle and cidecar sideswiped a standing truck on the Provincial highwav miles east of here. The dead are Join Alfred Eley, aged 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Eley, 800 Kingston Road, and Edward Grif- fiths, aged 17, son of Mr, and Mrs. William Griffiths, . 121 Meagher avenue. The injured youth is Ivan Flatman, aged 16, son of Mr. and Mra. Arthur Flatman, 173 Westlake avenue, He is suffering from con- cussion of the brain and severe head injuries. Fair Chance to Recover At 9 o'clock Sunday evening Dr. Lewis, who is in attendance, stated that his condition had improved some since being admitted, and that he had a fair but not yet a good chance of recovery, The young men killed were both employed hy the International Busi- ness Machines, Limited, Toronto.
