J. Stainton was with his a A and gave two excel- lent sermons, In the morning his subject was "The Glorious Gospel" and in the evening "The Great Dilemma." Both were very fine and inspiring and the choir as usual added much to the services with music, Sunday school held its regular instructive session with only a fairly good attendance of 88. Miss Glady Bickle of Oshawa is vis- iting with Miss Vera Werry. The August meeting of the Mission Circle will take the form of a picnic on Saturday afternoon, Mr. Frank Rundle's Beach. A regular meeting is to be held at the usual hour of 2.30 o'clock and will be in sal fp of the group under the leadership of Mrs. Walter Snider. A good program is be- ing prepared and it is hoped that all the girls will be present and on time for the program so that time may he had for sports and games later. To- ward evening a picnic supper will he indulged in, to which one and all of those interested in the Mission are in- vited to come. Don't forget the date of the Mission Circle picnic--August 20th. WITH NO APPARENT INJURIES Ottawa, Aug. 15.--Losing his bal- ance in some unaccountable manner as he strolled along the grassy brink of cliffs skirting the Ottawa River, in the Rockeliffe Park section here tonight, Herbert Celmer, aged 23, of Peterboro' fell 120 feet onto a bed of rock. He was rushed to hos- pital where it was announced, fol- lowing preliminary examination, that he had apparently suffered no serious hurt. It is feared, however, that X-rays to be taken tomorrow may reveal internal injuries.
