TRADE UNION COLLEGE Dunmow, Essex, March 4.--Eas- ton Lodge, where Edward IV. spent his honeymoon with Elizabeth Wood- ville, and for years the home of the Countess Warwick, is to become a trade union college. UNDERSTAND FLAPPERS London, Eng., March 4th.--Wo- men police know better how to deal with modern flappers, in the eyes of the National Council of Women, and on this account the orgamiza- ticn's members are eager for more police women on the London force. At a conference Miss Effie Beck- ett, of the Church Army, proclaimed that when excitable flappers, who were perhaps new-comers to the street crowds, saw a policeman they took fright and disappeared, but of- ten they were willing to be guided by women. Other council members pointed out that women police had been es- pecially successful in districts near saloons where women congregated, RENTS, LONDON FLAT London, Eng.
