Lowry, Robert "Bob" John, went home to be with his Lord, peacefully at home in the arms of his loving wife Anna. He was 73 years of age. Beloved husband to Anna Lowry (nee Locklin) for 52 years. Loving father to Donna Lee (Sandy) and Shannon Hechenberger (Christian). Proud grandfather to Braedon, Tyler, Tristyn, Anna, Calla, and Adele. Dearly loved brother to Bonnie Lowry (deceased), Rick Lowry (Amanda), Randy Lowry (deceased), Kathy Scott (Brad) and David Lowry (Catherine). Bob was raised on Stoney Lake, lived in Oshawa for 50 years and retired in Lakefield. He served people in the car business for more than 40 years.

Bob will be fondly rem- embered as a man who loved deeply. He loved his wife from the time they first danced as teens at the Sunset Pavilion at Crowe's Landing. He loved his two daughters fiercely and embraced their husbands as if his sons. He loved his grand- children with joy, pride and awe. He loved his brothers and sisters, nieces, and neph-

ews. He loved his friends, of old and new, many of those being good men who walked with him as close as brothers. And most of all, he loved the Lord. Bob had a smile that lit up a room and eyes that smiled equally as bright. He was always interested in hearing your story and would be quick to offer help. He laughed often as he told his stories and listened to ours. He loved spending time on the water whether boating, at the family cottage or the beach. He and Anna enjoyed each other's company and were wonderful travel companions. Music was always in him. He loved to sing and used music to encourage others. He pro- moted many gospel benefit concerts in the Oshawa area and enjoyed singing at church, seniors' residences, weddings and memorials.

We're certain that he sings over us now in the presence of the Lord and is enjoying the company of those he loved that passed on before him. We look forward to holding a celebration of Bob's life at a future date when we can be together once again and sing with joy.

We would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Pastor Ben and the Gilmour Church Family as well as the many wonderful friends and family who are supporting us at this time. Arrangements have been en- trusted to Community Alter- native Funeral Home.

If desired, donations in memory of Bob can be made to the PRHC Foundation - Cardiac Care or to the Gilmour Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund through the funeral home or online, and condolences to the family may be made online www.CommunityAlternative.ca
