January 14. 1961. He served with the R. C.A.S.C. overseas during Second World War. Funeral was held Thursday morning at 10 a.m. from Cochrane Funeral Home, with Rev. F. J. Meyer of the Church of Annunciation officiating. Burial in Cliff side cemetery. RICHARDS â€" Claude Nelson Richards, age 60 years, of 100 Brompton Road, Red Rock, died at his residence, Thursday evening, January 19, 1961. Born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Married to former Viola McDavid at Campbelltown. N. B. Moved to Red Rock 15 years ago, where he had been employed by St. Lawrence Corporation as a millwright. Member of Pulp & Sulphite Union 528 Red Rock. Survived by wife Viola, daughter Joan, Mrs. E. Affelin of 54 Rankin Street, Red Rock; four grandchildren; two brothers, Cecil of Campbelltown, Thomas of Elliott Lake and sister Mildred of Campbelltown. Predeceased by three brothers. The body was forwarded Saturday from Cochrane Funeral Home, Nipigon, to Campbelltown. N. B., for.burial. HORPPU â€" Frank Rudolph Hdrppu, age 62, long time resident of Nipigon, died at the Nipigon Memorial Hospital, Saturday, January 21, 1961. Born in Finland. He came to Nipigon in 1924. He had been employed with the late Mr. Falls and since then with St. Lawrence Corporation as a boat captain, serving on the Brompton Duchess until his retirement in July due to ill health. Member of Immanuel Lutheran Church Nipigon, member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. Surviving are daughter Leila, Mrs. A. Kari of Dorion; two grandchildren; one brother, Veikko of Q’uibelle, Ont.; nephew, Arvo Spetz of Nipigon, as well as other relatives in Finland. Funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m., in the Nipigon United Church, with Pastor F. A. Maunula of Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Burial in Cliffside cemetery.
