MUSEUM MUSINGS by B. Brill There are three things that the people of Nipigon have complained about over the years: The cold in winter, the flies in summer, and dogs year round. The good Father Specht, a nervous little man who served the missions of Lake Nipigon and Long Lac for eighteen years, had quite an unsettling experience the first time he voyaged to Fort Nipigon in September 1880.
